The sixth edition of the Yellow Pages Series outdoor meeting in Germiston, South Africa saw world leading times for 800m for both men and women evebts. 2004 Olympic silver medalist Mbulaeni Mulaudzi ran 1:45.65 for the two-lap race. The South African was followed behind by compatriot Samson Ngoepe (1:46.51) and Adriaan van Wyk (1:46.83). In fact the three timings are the top three fastest times in the world currently. As for the women’s category, South African Caster Semenya ran 2:00.58 to lead the women outdoor 800m timing. The 18 year old improved her previous mark by some 4 seconds. Her previous PB was 2:04.23.
