This is a major event on world university sports movement started in 1923. It is on this competition where our 100m national record was broken by UK Shyam at World University Games back in Beijing in 2001.

This competition main purpose is for our athletes to qualify for the SEA Games 2007, for those who has still not made the cut. Also it’s a great exposure for our local lads to be competing against the more established athletes and gain some high-level competition experience. Go Team Singapore!
