Looks like plenty of National Sports Association (NSAs) has jumped on the blogging bandwagon. To name a few, Malaysia Amateur Athletic Union (MAAU), to Singapore Athletic Association (SAA), and now USATF.
Although the blog content management system is not running the whole site of USATF, the blog is set up to provide more insight and transparency within the USATF committee and administration, in the wake of the sacking of their CEO, Doug Logan.
The official statement from USATF was, “USA Track & Field on Tuesday launched a new blog, The Official Word, featuring messages from USATF board members and other leaders. The first edition of The Official Word comes from USATF President and Chair Stephanie Hightower, who looks to the lessons learned by the USOC in the last year as an example of how USATF is now doing business. It is a philosophy in which accountability to stakeholders and fiduciary responsibility to the sport take precedence. So if you want your website, or company to be found by search engines, or having an easy management of your content, well setting up a blog is the way to go.
