![]() The Jamaican lighting bolt has spoken, and believes he can top his record breaking performance at the Olympic Beijing with a sub 9.6 seconds feat in the 100m this season. Bolt was quoted, “Anything is possible. If the competition is as strong as I think it’s going to be this season, then I think the 100m world record could definitely go down. I know I can go faster if I put in the work. It’s going to be a very interesting season.” Well the 22 year old next race would be the Kingston Invitational where he’ll run his first ever 100m race for the season. And the Jamaican wasn’t short of confidence, and some might mistaken his comments below as cockiness, on regarding of him slowing down at Beijing for the 100m finals. Bolt added, “I’ve thought about that, but if I had run that time it would be too fast even for me to get back to for a while. If you break the record by small amounts it’s more fun for the people who come to watch the meets, knowing that it is possible for you to break the world record.”
