Last weekend Jamaican triple Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt ‘coasted’ to a new personal mark of 45.54 seconds in the 400 meters at the UWI/Gatorade Invitational. The event was held at Kingston’s National Stadium last Saturday. The world record holder better his previous mark set this season for the 400m which was 46.35 seconds set a week earlier. For Usain Bolt’s race, he ran from lane six with no opposition. If you notice closely in the video above, there’s two South Koreans in it. They’re in Jamaica for a training stint. The 5,000 capacity crowd cheered Bolt as he secured the win for the last of the seven 400m heats of the day. Bolt as with previous year is starting his outdoor season with the longer sprint before moving to the shorter 100m and 200m event.
