With drugs and unregulated supplements being more accessible in the states, it is no wonder high school athletes are turning to drugs to aid them on the field or track. Now there’s a new bill that will allows more extensive drug testing of high school athletes Currently scholastic athletes have been randomly tested for steroid use, but the state has hardly any success as they believe problem of rampant abuse of substances like steroids is not being addressed properly The bill will allow more testing of students athletes from a current pool of 240,000 athletes nationwide. The test will be done by a private agency. The bill is co-sponsored by State Senate President Richard J. Codey, where it was passed last April in the Senate unanimously, referred to Education Committee and now the implementation to be carried out
