She did it again. Paula Radcliffe has defended and won the ING New York Marathon title. It is her third win. She won the 2004 edition in a time of 2:23:10, while 2007 she won it in a time of 2:23:09 and this year 2:23:56.

Looks like her winning times are consistent at 2:23 marker. The course record for NYC marathon is 2:22:31 by Margaret Okayo of Kenya set in 2003. And for your info the current world record for women’s marathon is 2:15:25 set by Paula Radcliffe herself at the London Marathon, England (2003)
