Singapore is represented in the sailing 2 person keelboat (SKUD18) event, where Jovin Tan and Desiree Lim will try their luck in the hunt for an elusive gold and they stand a good chance, after their recent first placing at the IFDS World SKUD18 Championships 2008

In athletics, we shall get to see Eric Ting Chee Keong in his maiden Paralympic debut for the ‘A’ qualification of wheelchair racing and in the equestrian Laurentia Tan will don Singapore colors

We shall also see swimming world record holder for women’s 50 metres and 200 metres breaststroke, Theresa Goh Rui Si in the pool and also Yip Pin Xiu in the women’s 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke

Singapore has been a participating in the Paralympic Games since 1988 and came close to win a medal back in 2004 when Theresa Goh Rui Si finished fifth in her 100m SB4 Breaststroke.
