With a new course record of 2:07:53 hours, Kenya Duncan Kibet Kirong won the Milan marathon. He finished 46 seconds ahead of his compatriot Elias Kemboi Chelimo. Third placing was Leonard Mucheru Maina finishing in a time of 2:10:05 hours Kenyans men made a clean sweep of podium finish. While the women’s category was won by local Anna Incerti. She fended off the challenge of defending champion Pamela Chepchumba. Anna won it in a time of 2:27:42 hours.
