3 2 year old Marion Jones, the former Olympic sprinter who recently admitted to two charges of ‘lying to U.S. authorities about her use of steroids’ and ‘knowledge of a cheque fraud case’ that was being run by her ex-boyfriend sprinter Tim Montgomery and his coach, will hear her sentencing tomorrow. She could face possible jail time for the above two charges. She could end up behind bars up to six months. Her lawyers however are optimistic and is hoping the judge will favor their probation request. Jones prior cooperation in the BALCO doping scandal however does not guarantee leniency as U.S. federal judges has previously given tougher sentences than the ‘plea deal’ Jones has with the prosecutors.
