Part of his comeback trail, Liu Xiang has entered the East Asian Games. In his 110-metre hurdles event, the former world record holder Liu Xiang won his finals with ease. He was clocked at a leisurely time of 13.66 seconds in front of a sell-out crowd at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground in Hong Kong. Liu Xiang compatriot Ji Wei was second in 13.88 seconds, and South Korea’s Park Tae-Kyong awarded bronze with a time of 14.02 seconds. Liu Xiang personal best is 12.88 seconds, while his season best was 13.15 seconds achieved last September. The The East Asian Games is a multi-sport event organised by the East Asian Games Association (EAGA) and held every four years since 1993 among athletes from a handful of Asian countries.
