Kerryn McCann is a dual Commonwealth Games gold medalist and four-time winner of The Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon, but she died of breast cancer last December. She was only 41 years old at her passing. She is survived by her husband and three kids. Aussies is honoring her at this year’s Sydney Morning Herald half marathon, which will be held on May 17th. There will be a new women’s trophy named after her. Aside from that, there will also be fund-raising and pink bandanna sales in support of her Kerryn McCann’s Breast Cancer Network Australia.
