Justin Gatlin runs his fifth race of the season in 10.15 seconds
  • September 12th, 2010

American sprinter Justin Gatlin overcame a wet track, and terrible condition at a meet in Padua, Italy, last week on September 3rd, winning it in 10.15 seconds.

The field has the likes of Jamaican Michael Frater, and Nickel Ashmeade, and Gatlin made easy of his win.

The race was not without controversy. When he crossed the line, the TV clock and the monitor were saying 9.81 seconds, but Gatlin celebrated too soon.

It was actually a photofinish clock problem that resulted in the timing error.

Gatlin has so far won three minor meets in Estonia and Finland, losing only to Jamaican Yohan Blake last Tuesday; Blake’s 10.06 to Gatlin 10.09 seconds.
