![]() Wariner has apologised and is back with his old coach Hart The formerly ranked number one 400m runner, Jeremy Wariner has patched up with his old coach Clyde Hart. It’s been a year since he parted ways with the former Baylor coach and opted to train under Baylor assistant Michael Ford instead. When they split I asked myself, well why settle for second best right, and with that Wariner came up short in the Beijing Olympics 400m final, losing to LaShawn Merritt. In that year alone, Merritt gained the number one ranking and a personal best of 43.75s, while Jeremy Wariner had a season best of 43.82s, a glimpse of his old PB of 43.45s.
It seems Wariner only started trained with his old mentor two weeks back after approaching Hart and apologised.
Well the approach to training now under Clyde Hart is that Ford will oversee the workouts if Hart isn’t around, but the 75 year old will handle Wariner training from now on. |
