The last event for European Indoors 2009 saw the Italian men’s 4x400m winning the event. They won it with a fine last lap gasp by Claudio Licciardello who brought home the gold.

The host nation finished in a time of 3:06.68. Team Britain had to settle for silver in a time of 3:07.04 and Polish team who has the same timing as the British team was awarded the bronze.
