International Association of Athletics Federations, the international governing body for the sport of athletics has stepped up their policy on banned substance usage.

First on the agenda is requesting Court of Arbitration for Sport to change the two year suspension received by seven female Russian athletes recently, to four years.

The lass was caught manipulating doping samples where the provided samples did not match with previous samples.

Set to be out of competition for a long time if approved by CAS, are Yelena Soboleva (Indoor 1500m world champion), Tatyana Tomashova (twice 1500m champion), Darya Pishchalnikova (European discus champion), Olga Yegorova (5000m world champion), Gulfia Khanafeyeva (Former hammer world record holder) and Yuliya Fomenko and Svetlana Cherkasova (Both are elite distance runners).
