Footage of Haile Gebrselassie win at Dubai Marathon

Haile Gebrselassie might have won the Dubai marathon but he missed the world record and the million dollar bounty.

He finished first in a time of 2:05.29, the eighth fastest in history.

At 35 year old, he’s still running strong and reiterated that he will never announce a retirement.

He although mentioned that he won’t be participating the World Championship marathon in Berlin this summer.

It was at Berlin Marathon last Autumn that he set the world record of 2:03.59.

Gebrselassie during the press conference added, “I’ve run my World Championships. Now I’m running for times.”

His next race is the half-marathon in Den Haag flagging off on March 14th.
