Tsegaye Kebede

Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia has won the Fukuoka International Marathon 2009 with a new personal best time of 2 hours, 5 minutes, 18 seconds.

The Beijing Olympic bronze medalist was running all alone since the 33km marker as his decisive break-away point.

The Fukuoka International Open Marathon Championship, held in Fukuoka, Japan, is an international men’s marathon race established in 1947. It is usually held on the first Sunday in December (6th Dec).
