Chambers won the 60 metres at the European indoor championships last Sunday for his first major individual title since serving a two-year ban in the BALCO doping scandal.

After the joy and accolades being on the podium, he now faces sanctions from the sport’s world governing body for his recent autobiography detailing his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

The 30-year-old broke the European 60-meter indoor record by running 6.42 seconds in the semifinals. He then clocked 6.46 seconds in the final.
