English sprinter Dwain Chambers has failed to overturn a lifetime Olympic ban set on him by the British Olympic Association (BOA), preventing him from competing in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing
He lost a legal bid to overturn a lifetime ban in court on Friday. London High Court decided not to lift BOA Olympics lifetime ban on any British athlete that has failed a dope test
Despite winning the British Olympic trials and Britain fastest sprinter in the 100m event, he was overlooked by BOA on that merit and thus turned to the courts to allow him for a place in Beijing
Chambers has since served a two-year suspension for doping in 2004, after testing positive for the steroid THG in 2003 but is defiant. 30 years old now, Chambers eyes Olympic London in 2012
He stated he has served his time and deserved a second chance. Chambers will continue to compete in other international athletics competitions
