Drama in the USA Track and Field camp?
Looks like such ‘politics’ is ever-present in every association.
It seems the USA T&F Board of Directors has voted to sack Chief Executive Officer Doug Logan during a meeting in Las Vegas last weekend.
It’s no secret that Logan’s two years in-charge of the national governing body was with much opposition.
The always outspoken Doug Logan call for change it seems was the main sticking point, and it drew criticism from the board, athletes and members.
Doug Logan stint as a CEO was “overseeing all aspects of the sport in the United States”.
With the sacking, and his contract which was to run out till 2013, Logan could be compensated as much as $1 million in settlement fees.
Chief Operating Officer Mike McNees is temporarily assuming Logan’s duties until a new CEO is hired.
