Pune, a city in the state of Maharashtra, India gets that privilege for hosting for this edition The first Commonwealth Youth Games was hosted in in Edinburgh, Scotland (1-14 Aug 2000) and the second one was held in Bendigo, Australia (30 Nov – 3 Dec 2004) The 9 disciplines being contested:
