Caster Semenya given the green lights by IAAF to compete
  • July 8th, 2010

South African runner Caster Semenya has been cleared to compete as a woman after undergoing gender verification tests.

Semenya next competition will be the African Athletics

World 800 meters champion Caster Semenya, who is returning to competition after controversial gender tests put her career on hold, will not compete in the world junior championships in Canada but might run in the African championships later in July, here in Nairobi according to her coach Michael Seme.

On their part the local organizing committee says they have no problem should the South African athletics association pick Semenya, in their team as long as her clearance is officially communicated to them by the IAAF.
