Last Sunday at the European Team Championships, 2nd League in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, Croatian High Jump star Blanka Vlasic cleared 2.04m. She set a a new outdoor record, and attempted a 2.08m height but her leg clipped the pole on the way down.
She will next compete in Oslo at the Golden League meet on July 3rd. Below video is an earlier jump in Ostrava, Czech Republic, on June 18th, she won the leg there with a 2.00m jump. Russian Svetlana Skholina was second with a jump of 1.95 metres, and Russian Irina Gordeeva, who also cleared 1.95 metres, was third. German Ariana Friedrich, who had edged out Blanka at Sunday’s Golden League meet in Berlin, did not jump in Ostrawa.
