To excel in athletics, its undeniable, you need to be Bigger, Stronger and Faster than the next athlete next to you to get the coveted gold. In your journey to attain such ‘perfection’, you’ll be tempted of course. IAAF and its rules are transparent clear about the prohibit use of anabolic steroids to aid in your performance. But then again what is ‘fair’. Is it fair that there are those who got away and yet still hung on to their gold. Is it fair that such enhancing performance drugs usage are actually fueled by the demand of the fans themselves. I came across a video on YouTube about the use on steroids. It showed the rampant usage of roids in the States amongst college kids, pro athletes to gym rats. It encompass the supports, the critics to the administration who had their own views and opinions on the topic of steroids. Famous sports figures from wrestling, ice-skating to Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis are all interviewed. It is indeed an interesting documentary to watch.
