Currently due to the recent withdrawal of Australia 4x100m men team, Finland & Cuba 4x100m women team withdrawing from the summer games for reason unknown, replacement teams have been invited by the IOC (International Olympic Committee)

The teams who have qualified the Top 16 for Beijing and those who are not sending their teams, IOC has invited Holland 4x100m team to replace Australia while Thailand and Nigeria 4x100m women team has been invited to replace Finland and Cuba no-showing

Only Top 16 relays team (4×100 & 4x400m) with the fastest average time in the world can qualify for a spot in the relays Olympic berth. Official relay timings need to be ran at races sanction by IAAF & IOC
