The IAAF Super Grand Prix meet in Switzerland saw Olympic champion Steve Hooker opened his European campaign with a victory in the men’s pole vault with a height of 5.75m.

Hooker defeated the in-form Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie who had to settle for second spot with an effort of 5.70m.
