American athlete Ashton Eaton broke his own men’s indoor heptathlon world record yesterday at the International Indoor Combined Events.
The meet in Tallinn, Estonia saw the 23-year-old amassed 6,568 points, eclipsing his old mark of 6,499 points that was set last year in March.

1,000 meters – 2 minutes, 34.74 seconds.
Pole Vault – 5.2 meters
60m – 6.66 seconds
60m hurdles – 7.60 seconds
Long Jump – 7.77 meters
Shot Put – 14.45 meters

Ashton Eaton running the 60m hurdles finals at Princeton on January 22nd 2011. The day before this race, he had a huge PR in the shot put. He pole-vaulted 16′ 8″ later that meet and ran a 1:55 in the 800m. He ran a 7.68sec destroying everyone else in the race!
