It’s official, Singapore will not be hosting SEA Games 2013, and the main reason behind it is due to the repeated delays to our S$1.87 billion Sports Hub.
Community Development, Youth and Sports Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan who informed the Parliament advises, “It would be ideal for Singapore to host the 2015 SEA Games instead of 2013.”
The 27th Southeast Asian Games was originally scheduled to be held by us in 2013.
But now Myanmar, Vietnam and the Philippines are now offering to host the games instead.
The current Kallang Stadium will be torn down and replaced with this dome shaped stadium.
Well this sure will be another talking point, aside from the SSC vs SAA spat.
