Recently on May 6th, Singapore Sports Council (SSC) has launched a campaign called “Let’s play!” to engage Singaporeans in many fun and interactive games
It’s important underlying message is that you don’t need to play sports to enjoy it
With this new sports program, more sporting facilities will be opened to the public soon
This new nation-wide movement to get Singaporeans to be active in sports even has a new brand spanking website that will help you to connect with like-minded active people around you
Surf to singaporesports.sg
There you can find out the sports events in Singapore, watch videos and photos and search sports facility near the place you live
Based totally on Flash, my opinion is that the website usability can be unnervingly annoying at times when you need to go to the previous page, you’ll first need to go to the homepage to start again
When asked to comment on Let’s Play new initiative, Teo Ser Luck, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development, Youth and Sports Ministry, mentioned, “I hope that this movement will create a revolutionary movement on the ground and that everybody will be more involved in sports, not just for health and fitness reasons, but to enjoy”
The first of the Let’s Play commercial can be seen above. I noticed Mr. Patrick Zehnder, renown local athletics coach, distinguishable with his long white beard running in the commercial. His best athlete to date was Chee Swee Lee who won 400m gold at the 1974 Asian games
