It is with great pleasure that we are announcing Flash Athletic Club’s second Track and Field Clinic for students.

We are please to extend a promotional offer of $25 per student for a whole Saturday of instruction.

The offer will include a healthy lunch as well as the services of a physiotherapist.

This is great value compared to the $10-15 per hour rates charged for private instruction in other sports.

We hope that you will seize this opportunity to send all your Track and Field sprinters and long distance runners.

The purpose of the Track and Field Clinic is to prepare your school athletes for the National Cross Country and National Track & Field competitions.

During the clinic, we will be emphasizing the skills required to prepare for the upcoming season – technique, technical drills, fault correction and planning of the training program.

Our coaches will conduct lectures in large groups followed by practical sessions in smaller groups.

Only the sprint and long distance groups will be covered during this clinic.

We are unable to include other events due to the vast differences in the events.

We will be emphasizing sprint technique and fault correction for the sprinters using AcelSportz Video Analysis Software (AVAS) The emphasis for the long distance runners will be on running form (also analysed using AVAS), conditioning and planning the training program.

In the upcoming months, Flash Athletic Club will be conducting Clinics for the general and specific preparation periods.

We will also include the throws and jumps groups.

Payment instructions

The cost of the Track and Field Clinic is $25 per participant. A registration deposit of $10 per participant is required by latest 28 Feb 2007 to confirm your participants place. Please make cheque payments out to: Flash Athletic Club. The balance of payment ($15) in cash or cheque can be made on the day of the Track and Field Clinic.

# Flash Athletic Club reserves the right to cancel the Track and Field Clinic due to whatever reasons and a full refund will be given within one month of the clinic date for any affected payment.

# Flash Athletic Club will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all participants. However, Flash Athletic Club and St Patrick’s School will not be responsible for any injuries, death or damage to property as a result of participation in our Track and Field Clinic. If participants observe any unusual or unnecessary hazard during the clinic, they must alert the coaches and choose not to participate in the given activity.

# Participants must exercise due care in the use of equipment and facilities during the Track and Field Clinic.

# Participants must vacate the premises outside of the scheduled Track and Field Clinic times.

# Cancellation of participation must be effected in writing at least 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the Track and Field Clinic. Otherwise, the registration deposit will be forfeited.

# No part of the material given out during the Track & Field Clinic may be reproduced, in any form or by any means, without permission in writing from Flash Athletic Club.

# A registration deposit of $10 per participant is required to confirm the participant’s place in the Track and Field Clinic.
