What started out with good intentions, to promote the upcoming Anlene Orchard Mile event this coming June 15th, the publicity stunt went awfully ‘wrong’
A group of men’s of around 20, equipped with banners protested at Orchard Road last Sunday about Anlene Orchard Mile being that it will be an only women race, and men wasn’t allowed to join
The ‘mock protest’ was deemed not having a valid permit for such gathering. I believe it’s unlawful assembly when five or more people converge to protest. I stand corrected
The event Anlene Orchard Mile, in its second year running saw some 2,000 female participants taking part last year and the run is organised for a good cause, as proceeds from this run will go to the Osteoporosis Society of Singapore
I hope it turns out fine, as it’s all for charity and the stunt was done with good intentions
