Today February 25th marks SingaporeAthletics.com 8th year presence online.

Well the site registered it’s proper domain in 2004 but before that when I initially created the site in 1999, it was nothing more than a page of just athletics statistics on those free hosted server.

It then moved on to a better server after a small following.

At that point of time, I then combined the current site content with a local tertiary school athletics website in 2001 with a certain domain for which the school administration wasn’t too ‘happy’ about.

Ignoring the ‘administrative politics’, we went independent again under a new domain, with the intention of forming a club but that didn’t materialize as again local athletics ‘politics’ got us into ‘hot water’ again.

Thus after numerous revamps, revivals, hiatus … finally SingaporeAthletics.com resurfaced again in early 2007 this year, with a new server, several local athletes writers contributing and a new ‘lease’ of life.
