I think we need a change in leadership is good for the SAAA. As in any organisation, leaders should be rotated every 3 years to make room for new ideas and creativity. This will prevent politics and lime light hogging.
I read from the papers that Loh Chan Pew did a commendable job in guiding the girls 4x100m relay team to break the National record. He was replaced or terminated for lack of paper qualification.
Should we be looking at coach’s qualification or athletes record breaking feat?
What good is a highly paper qualified coach who does not gel with his athletes and produce half baked results at best?
I agree with Emma that a change in leadership is good for the SAAA. To prevent abuse and misuse of the system, leaders should serve at most, a 3 years term.
Loh Lin Kok should step down graciously and make way for younger, more vibrant leaders to ake the helm.
