An online diary contribution by our Team Singapore athlete Shameer Ayub. His specialized events includes the 100m, 200m and the relays

A small group of Singapore athletes went to a competition (Mauritius Pan-African meet, IAAF permit meeting) in Mauritius a few days back. Me, Jean Claude, Michelle and Seng Song. Due to flight delay, we arrived in Mauritius @ 0500hrs ++ and had to compete in the afternoon. The meet started at 3pm. My event kicked off at 1530hrs. Weather was rainy and sunny at the same time.

Results :

I did 10.68s

Seng song 10.84s

Michelle jumped 1.70m

Jean Claude jumped 2.15m

My Race Report

I believed i would have run much faster race if i had arrived there earlier. I didn’t warm up much because i was feeling tired so i just prepare in such a way that will allow myself to run a reasonably good time. Its back to hard training now before the next meet.
