Subaish: When i was in JC 1 year 2001 i took part in the Sports Day, i participated in 800m and surprisingly won the race with a time of 2.02. So after the Sports Day, my teacher approach me and told me i have potential and recommend me to Mr S.Pandian who at that time was coaching Northland Secondary. So when they train, i just came down and joined them
- Other than track what else do you do?
Subaish: I don’t have much time to play but if i do i’ll probably play pool or soccer as it’s fun. I’m pretty OK at pool, not good and not too bad either. Other than that i study to prepare for my ‘A’s
- What’s your training like per week?
Subaish: I train 4 times a week, 1 times daily. In those 4 days, i have 1 weight session, 1 long distance running and 2 track days
- What motivate you to train?
Subaish: I just basically want to be the best and the elite few. Also breaking Pandian record spurs me to train hard
- Goals for this year?
Subaish: To do well and focus on my ‘A’s. Long term i wish to qualify for 2005 SEA Games. To do that i need to do 1.50 in 800m at least
- Any idols you look up to?
Subaish: I’ve always admired Michael Johnson, Wilson Kipketer and Hicham El Guerrouj
