
A young tall lanky lad with lots of potential. Already well known in the ahletics scene, Chua is another of many class runner produced from the Jurong Secondary track factory. Chua is coached by Mr Yeo
- How do you usually prepare physically for a race
Chua: I train 5 times a week. My mileage is about 50km per week
- During the SWIFT cross country which you won, what was your goal
Chua: i was gunning for a personal best as well as hoping for the team to get Top 3 position
- How did you feel a couple of days before a race let’s say
Chua: I would rest but basically it’s normal
- At SWIFT cross country what was your take on the race
Chua: It was OK. I was actually going for the timing. Abit tired at the end. I was with Jeffrey all the way until the end, where he cut me downslope
- Do you fear any one athlete in particular?
Chua: No one in mind
- What is next? Any more races?
Chua: I training harder than before to prepare for the upcoming National School Cross Country at Sentosa
Chua went on to win 2nd place in the boys B Division in the National Schools Cross Country 2003 after this interview. It was a near 1, 2 finish between Chua and Jeffrey
